It’s inevitable: when you avail yourself to God’s service, satan is going to try his best to counteract your effectiveness for the kingdom of God. Awareness of this spiritual warfare is important. Peter says to “be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Pet. 5:8) Assessing your weak points and recognizing an attack in that area as such is vital for survival in this war. If you think financial difficulties, health problems or relationship issues are coincidental during times when you are proclaiming the gospel you are mistaken. The area of weakness best suited for you will be used for attack. So believer, be aware! Stay focused on the cross, don’t waver from what you know to be true and most of all, and don’t let anything come between you and God. With His strength we can be victorious. “…Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one” (Eph 6:16). On to victory!
“Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. Sin has left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow.
Oh praise the one who paid my debt and raised my life up from the dead.”
