True Christianity should permeate every facet of our lives. It should not be an inoculation with an insignificant dose to induce immunity. It should be the maximum effective dose to give you the full blown case of Christianity. That means becoming completely sold out to Christ, making Christ the center of our lives, counting all else rubbish (Phil 3:8). It has to show a radical change in the way we live. The focus of our lives should be changed. It should be Jesus Christ, God come in the flesh, the only one who lived a sinless life, the one who loved us so much that He did not count his “equality with God something to be grasped but made himself nothing” and “became obedient to death-even death on a cross”. (Phil 2:6-8) This should be our motivation. It should get us moving. It should be our all consuming passion. I admit, I wasted much of my life with things that have no value. Even those things that seem good, are not as good as what I could be doing. What should be most important? Knowing God so we can glorify Him with our being. God created humans for his pleasure. We are supposed to please God. How do we please God? By keeping His commandments. How do we know His commandments? By studying His word. And how do we put that into practice? By practicing the presence of God. In everything we do.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Cor 10:31)
