More than enough

Jeremiah 1:5 & 7
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength whose heart turns away from God…Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream and doesn’t fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain rich, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Psalm 81:10, 16
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it…But he would feed you with the finest of the wheat and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

Isaiah 30:18
“Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts himself to show mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.”

Our heavenly father longs to pour out his blessings on us. Of course there is a condition: trust in Him alone. We cannot continue to rely on our own abilities, resources and understanding. We need to completely sell out to His Lordship. When we do, it will be apparent how abundantly His blessings to us will be. Peace being the most important one of them all. But even looking at the material blessings that God bestows upon us, he will not let us go without our basic needs. And He owns the whole earth, so He can easily provide our needs from his abundance. I love having a rich daddy! God is testing our loyalty to Him in the way we hold on to our possessions and our money. If we consider 10% an adequate amount to give God, and we never put ourselves out for God, stretch ourselves beyond our means, go where no sane person has gone before (and I mean from the standpoint of this world), then you’ll never know the crazy love our God has for us. How imaginative his provisions for us can be, when we give him everything, when we give until it hurts, when we give beyond what is expected of us. God stands back and lets us run our own lives, and we may do well, or maybe not. When we finally let go and allow God take over our finances, He will use our income to make a difference in the lives of others. He will use our money, which in itself couldn’t do much, and makes much of it. Like with the multiplication of the fish and bread, He does miraculous math and comes up with a whole bunch more than we can understand. You can’t find that on www.purplemath.com...And then if we ended up with less money than our budget required, God can multiply the remainder to cover the rest of the month. I love how that works. The sources of money to cover the needs are always a surprise. Like a present from out of the blue. I love to be loved that way. God is so in love with us, and we make him so sad when we don’t allow him to shower us with his goodness.
I’m allowing myself to be drenched. Praise Him!
