Hindrances in our walk

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2

It’s amazing to witness the tools used in spiritual warfare. What is spiritual warfare? The devil throws his arsenal at you to make you spiritually ineffective in your purpose for God’s kingdom. What are some of those tools? Busyness, depression, anxiety, temptation, physical ailments, relationship issues, financial stress, just to name a few. Are they effective? That depends on your attitude. If you have resolved yourself to stand your ground and not give an inch, girded by the spiritual armor of God, you will be victorious. But don’t rely on your own power, you will fall. The power of darkness exceeds our human ability to withstand the attack. But God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of love, power and a sound mind (2. Timothy 1:7). Yesterday I wondered why I hadn’t gotten my daily devotional by email. I ventured into the spam folder to ensure it has not suddenly been classified as such. But it wasn’t there. Instead my eyes came across lots of spam that comes straight from the gates of hell. Amazing how the enemy works. Today, I got both devotionals, the one from yesterday included the above verse and an invitation to a conference about “Hindrances to fulfilling your call”…yep, the devil didn’t like that one for sure. But here’s where God is greater, he still let that email get through, even with delays. And this is even neater, today’s devotional talks about such an instance where a delay almost negated a divine appointment. We just need to stay on course, not waver and keep our noses clean. God will provide the rest.
Here’s the link if you’d like to receive those devotionals as well:
