It's not about me...

It's not a pretty picture if you take yourself too seriously. That can happen if we let our pride run away with us. Then we can experience a pity-party the likes of which have not been seen. If we think that we are the center of the universe and expect everything that happens to us to be in proportion to us, we are overestimating ourselves. If we take our eyes off ourselves for a moment we may see others who are hurting. In that case, we are refocused on the agape love God expects of us. And here's the more important focus: God! He loved us so much that he allowed his only son to die for someone as unworthy as us. Wow, what kind of crazy love! That should do the trick!
