Dreams can be dangerous. Well, I probably should reword it: you have to be careful in the pursuit of your dreams. Even after you checked the validity of your dream to make sure it matches up with a godly goal, you still have to realize, you can’t just run out and attempt to make it come true. If God has given you a dream, He will bring it to be. There is likely a time of preparation involved, not just the physical, but more importantly the spiritual and emotional side of it. When we’ve completed our physical training, and have achieved our pre-requisite requirements, we are ready to run. But God may just put us in a holding pattern until we get dizzy. And we may rebel and get angry or frustrated or even depressed at that point, because we feel like, we want to go but it’s just not happening. God looks on our physical qualifications and they may be just fine and dandy, but more importantly He looks at our heart. There may be incorrect thinking patterns, behaviors, sin left in us which will prevent us from being effective in fulfilling our purpose. God sees the bigger picture. He is not a big meanie who tries to keep us from having fun. He uses circumstances in our lives to orchestrate His good purpose for our lives, which includes a remodeling process to becoming more Christ-like. That means shedding some unwanted baggage. It means surrendering to the Lordship of God. Also complete trust in God our father who has our best in mind, always, since He is unchanging, as is His love for us. Like Job realized after his anger dissipated, God is God and I am not. End of story.
